This exciting CD features on more than 500 pictures the best of the Southwest Virginia (VA) and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Explore some of the most beautiful locations in the area. Join us on some virtual hikes and see wildflowers, landmarks and waterfalls. The center of the CD is in Blacksburg, Virginia. Beside images in outstanding quality this CD features some video clips, panoramas and individual descriptions for most of the photos.

 
The images are taken with Nikon, Agfa and Kodak digital equipment, no quality loss due to analog-conversion. This CD has been created in September 2001 with many photos in 2.1 Mega pixel 1600x1200 (or higher! See sample here) resolution, video clips and panoramas with up to 7.5 Mega pixel. Whether you own a GPS receiver or you are good with topographic maps you will find waypoint-data (decimal Latitude & Longitude + Elevation) to the most important places, so you can plan your routes ahead.

Blacksburg with Virginia Tech campus (yes, that's the one where the Hokies are), Bottom Creek Gorge with the 2nd highest waterfall in Virginia, Claytor Lake State Park, Cascades waterfall, Dragon's Tooth, Ellet Valley, Fairy Stone State Park, Fenwick Mines with Beaver Dam wetlands, Mabry Mill, Mountain lake, Natural Bridge (see a sample here), Peaks of Otter, Pandapas Pond / Poverty Creek, Roanoke with Smith Mountain Lake, Colonial Williamsburg and Wolf Creek Indian Village.
